China’s shipments to ASEAN accelerated in August 2025, bolstering its overall export growth by 4.4% (Business Brief No.4191 Full Ed.)

คะแนนเฉลี่ย
  • In August 2025, China’s shipments to ASEAN countries continued to grow by 22.5 percent YoY, lifting its overall exports by 4.4 percent YoY. However, the growth slowed as shipments to the US contracted for the fifth consecutive month at (-)33.1 percent.
  • During the first eight months of 2025, China’s exports expanded by 5.9 percent YoY, buoyed by robust performance in ASEAN markets. Looking ahead, the country’s shipments to ASEAN are expected to rise further, leading to a potential surge of Chinese goods flooding into Thailand.
  • KResearch forecasts that China’s export growth is likely to decelerate during the remainder of 2025, pressured by trade war uncertainties, continued contraction in shipments to the US, and the imposition of a 40-percent tariff on transshipped goods.
